Frequently Asked Questions
Before You Order
What can AI WP Coder build?
We build custom WordPress plugins and themes from scratch, and we modify existing plugins and themes. Whether you need a brand new plugin with specific functionality, a bespoke theme for your site, or changes to something you're already using - that's what we do. We work exclusively with WordPress software and do not build SaaS applications or standalone web apps.
What do I need to provide?
For new plugins and themes, all you need is a clear description of what you want. Our wizard will guide you through the key details we need. The better your description, the better the result - take a look at our Writing a Great Brief guide for tips on getting the most out of the service.
For modifications to existing plugins or themes, you'll need to upload the original files (.zip) through the wizard along with a description of the changes you want.
How detailed does my description need to be?
As detailed as you can make it. You don't need to use technical language - describing what you want the plugin or theme to do in plain English is perfectly fine. Focus on what it should achieve, not how it should be coded. If you mention specific integrations (like WooCommerce, Elementor, or another plugin), that helps us build exactly what you need.
Our Writing a Great Brief guide walks you through how to get the best results.
What if I'm not sure exactly what I need?
Describe the problem you're trying to solve or the outcome you're after, and our system will work from there. It's better to give us a clear description of the goal than a vague technical specification. If something isn't clear in your brief, we'll get in touch to clarify before building.
Will my plugin or theme work with my page builder?
We support themes and plugins designed to work with popular page builders including Elementor, Divi, WPBakery Page Builder, and Beaver Builder. If your project requires page builder compatibility, just let us know during the wizard and select it as an add-on. Your page builder will need to be installed on your site already - we don't supply page builder licenses.
Can you modify a premium or paid plugin or theme I already own?
Yes. Upload the files through our wizard and describe the changes you need. You must own a valid license for any premium plugin or theme you ask us to modify. We will not modify pirated or nulled software.
Payment & Pricing
Do I pay before or after the work is done?
Before. Payment is taken when you complete the wizard and confirm your order. This is what triggers the build process.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. All payments are processed through secure, PCI-compliant payment providers. We never see or store your full card details.
Why are faster delivery tiers more expensive?
Every tier delivers the same quality - the same code standards, the same review process, the same finished product. The only difference is turnaround time. Faster delivery means your project is prioritised ahead of others in the queue, which is reflected in the price.
Are there any hidden costs or recurring fees?
No. The price you see is the price you pay. Your order includes the build, the review, and three revision requests. There are no subscriptions, no monthly fees, and no surprise charges. If you need additional revisions beyond the three included, you can purchase them separately as a bundle.
During the Build
How long does it take?
That depends on the delivery tier you choose. Faster tiers cost more but get your work to you sooner. The exact timeframes for each tier are shown on our Pricing page.
Can I check on the progress of my order?
Yes. You'll receive email updates as your order moves through the build and review stages. If we need to contact you with a question about your brief, we'll reach out via email.
After Delivery
What happens if there are issues with the delivered work?
Every order includes three revision requests. If something isn't working as expected or doesn't match what you described in your brief, submit a revision request and we'll fix it.
A revision request isn't limited to a single change - you can bundle multiple issues or adjustments into one request. You have three requests in total, so use them however works best for you.
What happens if I need more changes than the three included?
You can purchase additional revision requests in bundles. These work exactly the same way as your included revisions - bundle as many changes as you like into each request.
What if the delivered work doesn't match what I asked for at all?
We take this seriously. If you believe the delivered work fundamentally doesn't match your specification, we'll review what was requested against what was delivered. Where the issue is on our side, we'll make it right. However, we are not responsible for poor or ambiguous briefs - this is why we encourage you to be as detailed as possible when describing what you need. Refund requests are considered on a case-by-case basis.
Who owns the copyright for the code?
Voittaa Ltd retains ownership of all code produced through AI WP Coder. You receive a license to use the delivered plugin or theme on any WordPress sites that you own and operate. You may not resell the code as a commercial plugin or theme, and you may not distribute it to any third party.
Can I get a discount?
Yes. We offer a discount if you allow us to publish your plugin or theme in the WordPress Plugin Directory or Theme Directory under our name. This helps promote the service and in return you benefit from a reduced price. If you're interested, select this option during the wizard.
Will my plugin or theme work with future WordPress updates?
We build to current WordPress coding standards and best practices, which gives your code the best possible chance of remaining compatible with future updates. However, no one can guarantee forward compatibility - WordPress evolves, and major updates can occasionally affect any plugin or theme. If a future WordPress update causes an issue, you can order a modification to bring things up to date.
Can another developer work on the code after delivery?
Absolutely. We deliver clean, well-documented code that follows WordPress coding standards. Any competent WordPress developer will be able to read, understand, and extend it.
Do you provide ongoing support or maintenance?
The initial order includes the build and three revision requests. Beyond that, we do not currently offer ongoing support or maintenance contracts. If you need changes in the future, you can place a new modification order through the site at any time.
Can I get the same plugin or theme modified again later?
Yes. Simply place a new order, select "Modify an Existing Plugin" or "Modify an Existing Theme", upload the current version of the files, and describe what you need changed. You'll go through the same wizard and pricing process as any other order.
Trust & Quality
Is the code really built by AI?
Yes. We use AI to generate the code, and we're upfront about that. But AI alone isn't enough - every piece of work is reviewed and assessed by our expert engineering team before delivery. The AI gives us speed and consistency; the human review gives you quality and confidence. The entire system is designed and overseen by a team with over 30 years of software development experience and more than 20 years of WordPress expertise.
How do I know the code is secure?
Every plugin and theme is built following WordPress security best practices: input sanitisation, output escaping, nonce verification, capability checks, and proper use of the WordPress APIs. Our engineering team checks for security issues as part of the review process before anything is delivered to you.
Will the plugin or theme slow down my site?
We build with performance in mind. Our code follows WordPress best practices for database queries, asset loading, and caching. That said, the impact on your site depends on what the plugin or theme does - a plugin that processes large datasets will naturally use more resources than a simple shortcode. If performance is a priority, mention it in your brief and we'll optimise accordingly.
What WordPress versions do you support?
We build for the current stable release of WordPress. If you're running an older version, let us know in your brief and we'll do our best to accommodate it, but we always recommend keeping WordPress up to date.
Do you build for WordPress Multisite?
Yes, but Multisite compatibility is available as an add-on due to the additional complexity involved. Select it during the wizard if your site runs on a Multisite network.
Is there anything you won't build?
Yes. We reserve the right to refuse any order, and we will not build any of the following:
- Plugins or themes designed to distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Software intended to scrape, harvest, or collect personal data without user consent
- Anything designed to bypass or circumvent software licensing, DRM, or copy protection
- Modifications to nulled, pirated, or illegally obtained plugins or themes
- Plugins designed to replicate or clone premium plugins to avoid paying for a license
- Software that sends spam or facilitates unsolicited bulk messaging
- Plugins designed to exploit security vulnerabilities in WordPress, other plugins, or hosting environments
- Anything intended to deceive users, including phishing pages, fake login forms, or impersonation tools
- Plugins that facilitate illegal gambling, illegal drug sales, or any other criminal activity
- Code designed to inject hidden links, cloaked content, or black-hat SEO techniques
- Software that is designed to violate GDPR, data protection laws, or privacy regulations
- Anything that infringes on another party's intellectual property, trademarks, or copyrights
- SaaS applications, standalone web apps, or anything that is not WordPress software
If you're unsure whether your project falls into any of these categories, get in touch before placing an order and we'll let you know.
